Overview

The Tender Administrator is accountable for operating the business’s tender process; from engaging with the Sales team through to delivering a tender analysis which is ready to present to Customers. The Tender Administrator will have an eye for detail, ensuring accurate administration and analysis of supplier pricing data, and be proactive in identifying and resolving any potential errors. Delivering a tender analysis in an accurate, timely manner which will enhance the business’s capability to secure contracts is the key driver for success in this role. Key Duties - Follow a tender process involving obtaining, validating and administering supplier prices in to a customer tender offer sheet - Become an expert in the various price components that make up delivered energy prices, understanding different price tariffs that suppliers use and how like for like comparisons can be made - Become knowledgeable in how supplier price and cost comparisons are calculated and become competent in undertaking analysis outside of the tender process - Be proactive in supplier communications to ensure prices are received against schedule and any queries (e.g. missing prices) are resolved promptly - Resolve pricing disputes with suppliers in a timely manner - Distribute validated prices or tenders to internal stakeholders or Customers, where required - Work closely with internal sales and service teams to establish smooth handover processes from the initial point of tender preparation through to delivery to the Customer - Identify and proactively engage with process improvement opportunities that deliver both improved efficiencies and customer experience Such other duties, commensurate with the grading of the post that may be assigned by the line manager or their nominee.
