Overview
We are Hiring Due to continued growth we are recruiting for Production Operatives to join the night shift with our team based in Scropton. (Near Hatton). We have 12 permanent positions on nights and various fixed term opportunities for 3-4 month contracts available. Join us as a Production Operative on nights and you can be a part of the aspiring team that brings Avara Foods to life. As a key member of the driven and ambitious team within the production department, you will be a key player in the day to day operations of the business. Managing processes, equipment and machinery to help meet the quality, safety and productivity targets set by the company. Purpose of the role As an integral member of the Production team you will drive and enable your lines to meet different customer’s needs to the required quality and safety standards for Avara Foods. Your key responsibilities will include: Achieving agreed quality standards relating to temperature, grading, wrapping, preparation, presentation and measurements. Ensuring consistency in the production of products within the agreed standards. Minimising downtime of equipment through the correct set up and change overs of the lines. Using a knife to trim, cut and portion turkey meat. Manual handling, lifting weights up to 25kg. What we are looking for: Functional skills in English and Maths. Proven experience within a production/manufacturing setting showing an understanding of a fast moving process. An understanding of computerised systems and IT systems. The ability to work well within a team and communicate with all levels of staff.
