Ward Sister / Charge Nurse Birmingham £38,000 - £40,000 My client is one of the UK's leading cosmetic surgery and weight loss surgery provider, with a number of hospitals and clinics up and down the country, providing an excellent, personalised service to their clients. They are now expanding and looking for a Theatre Practitioner to join them in their Birmingham hospital Key responsibilities Be responsible for the day to day running of the ward, communicating effectively with other areas in the hospital ensuring that everything is running in a cohesive manner Assist the Hospital Manager with recruitment of new team members Ensuring the ward team participate in performance reviews and undertaking appraisals, competency management, absence management and monitoring annual leave Provide leadership to the nursing team to enable a patient focused approach to ensure a cost effective and premium service to customers Act as a mentor for nurses and non-clinical staff Requirements Be a registered RGN with the NMC Be experienced in leading a motivated and dedicated team of nurses Have excellent time management, decision making and prioritisation skills Have relevant qualifications in nursing Have full comprehension of all legislations and policies Benefits My client offers a range of benfits including; statutory sick pay, pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, overtime bonus scheme with an enhanced rate
