Job Title - Mechanical Technician Job Location - Based close to Heathrow Job Start - ASAP Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday Salary - £28,000 to £32,000 Basic OTE 45K. Job Description The role is ideally suited for a dynamic Mechanical or Electrical Technician who is looking to join a global organisation. The position will require daily travel to customer sites, covering the UK and Ireland. Often staying overnight for periods of time on some projects. As Mechanical your main responsibilities will be to carry out fan upgrades on-site of our customers. Stocking your van with the correct materials to carry out the fan upgrade. This will include making sure the correct fans and cables are onboard, the van is equipped with the correct consumable parts to carry out the upgrade (this includes keeping the van stocked to an acceptable level). Once on site, ensure the safe off-load of the equipment. You will work within the scope of works of our RAMS. Liaise with the site contact to make sure the correct air handling unit is turned off for a pre- determined time. Ensure all safety aspects are considered while working on the Unit. Depending on the size of the project, you might oversee a team up to 4 subcontractors. Removal of existing fan and motor assembly, using reciprocating saws and lifting equipment when necessary Installation of the fan wall according to the specification. Electrical installation of the cables into our terminal box, electrical testing Test the fan according to pre-determined criteria including recording data on a sign off sheet. Some customer sites require you to remove waste (big fans and motors) to the customer waste facilities. Mechanical recognised apprenticeship, 3 years’ experience with mechanical installations and rip outs. Used to heavy lifting and safety implications. Confident with cutting and grinding Electrical knowledge and experience of 3 phase power supply 17th edition qualification would be advantageous Working in the HVAC industry with experience of working with scroll fans and plug fans is desired but not essential CSCS card Prepared to travel to customer sites and stay overnight if needed Clean driving license Criminal Record Check will be carried out to be able to work on customer sites Consultant Contact Details - lee evans at ppronline
