Calor Gas is looking to recruit an experienced and proactive Legal Accounts Coordinator to collect debt on delinquent accounts using County and High Court Procedures for all market sectors. Ensuring that all pre-action protocol is adhered to and that court action is the most effective means of recovery. Part of the role will involve attending court on Calor’s behalf and administering insolvencies. Key responsibilities will include: • To vet submissions for legal action to ensure that pre action protocol has been adhered to and that legal action is the most cost effective course of action. • Instruct solicitors or carry out Calor’s own legal action depending on which is most appropriate. • Attend court hearings throughout the UK and to progress the prompt resolution of queries. • Decide on the most suitable method of enforcement, always keeping one eye on costs. • Control the release of orders to customers whom legal action has already started to maximise profitable sales. • Carry out the administration and communication relating to corporate and personal insolvencies, working to tight deadlines to maximise the chances of asset and dividend recovery • Be able to work and co-operate as part of a team, assisting and supporting colleagues, TL’s and other departments, when necessary. • To be able to train and mentor other members of staff and take responsibility for own self development. As such we would like you to: • Have experience in credit control, legal processes and insolvency • Have excellent Keyboard/VDU and telephony skills • Have 3 years experience in a commercial environment within a large organisation • Be educated to GCSE 'A’ level standard of education or equivalent and preferably a member of the Institute of Credit Management • Driving Licence essential (as travel to court hearing around the UK is expected) • Have experience of telephone account collection with excellent interpersonal skills • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills including persuasiveness • Be able to use initiative, analyse problems and plan/organise own activities • Demonstrate excellent administration skills • Have good experience in sales ledger account reconciliation We look for people who are open minded, embrace new ways of working, step out of their comfort zone seek out new opportunities and look to continuously learn.
