Overview
We are looking for inspirational and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our hard working teams in Bishopthorpe. We have various permanent posts available where you will be supporting adults with different levels of needs. Our aim is to support people with developing their skills, whilst also supporting them to integrate into their local community. We aim to do this through person centred practice, ensuring the people we are supporting are at the centre of everything we do. We will enable them to live a fulfilling life and also help them to achieve the things that are important to them. You will provide support in leisure activities (including Hydrotherapy, so you must be willing to get in the water), cleaning, cooking and helping with personal care. You will help the people we support to lead the life they choose as we focus on person centred support, tailored to individuals needs. Flexibility is important as shifts are throughout the day and evening, nights they may be spread across the week/weekends and includes bank holidays. As all our shifts are on a rota basis you will know at least a month ahead what shifts you have been allocated for allowing you to plan your time accordingly.
