Job Description
Bank Rehabilitation Support Worker. Various Shift patterns covering days, nights and weekends. York House, Heslington Road, York. 8.74 p/h plus 1 enhancement at the weekends and bank holidays. York House is a 38 bed, independent hospital offering neurobehavioural assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to adults with acquired brain injury who present with complex health needs and challenging behaviours. The role: As a Bank Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will be an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team, working alongside other health care professionals to provide support to our service users. Your support and encouragement will aid our service users to work towards their rehabilitation goals and improve independence. This will include assisting with therapeutic sessions, community visits and where necessary, day to day tasks including personal care. York House provides year round, twenty four hour care for our service users. You would work a rotating pattern, taking your turn covering a variety of shifts and weekends to ensure that our service users are always supported. We have an adaptable working environment and are able to consider flexible working applications once you have been part of the team for 26 weeks. The people we are looking for will be caring, compassionate, motivated, have excellent communication skills, and have a real passion to provide outstanding care. We offer a full induction week and training programme, followed by shadow shifts where you will be working alongside your supportive and knowledgeable colleagues.
