Overview

Associate Transport Planner job opening in London, for a development planning consultancy. Your new company The company are a multi-disciplinary consultancy being experts in Civil Engineering, which includes feasibility studies, master planning, infrastructure design, and transportation and highways working across a vast number of sectors including residential, commercial and industrial work. They offer clients a range of engineering skills which cover project life cycle from initial concept through to completion of the project, servicing on flood risk assessments (support through the planning process) transportation and highways. Your new role The company are seeking an associate with an extensive portfolio working on development planning, to become an addition to their central London team, to lead projects with a major part of the role contributing to work winning. You will be responsible for managing teams for the day to day management of a range of projects in the UK and nationally overseas which include producing transport assessments and travel plans. Ideally the candidate will be focused on technical capability, delivery to programme and budget overseeing the project team. You will be responsible for bidding and for winning new work from a range of public and private sector clients, also for the development and training of junior staff. What you'll need to succeed You will possess an extensive portfolio of experience in transport planning within the fields of development, strategic and cities planning, including experience working with a multi-disciplinary team. You will have managed the technical and delivery aspects of projects related to development planning ranging in complexity and fee budgets dealing both with public sector and private sector clients. You will be proficient in report writing, data collection and data interpretation techniques with experience in local highway network analysis which include junction capacity design and assessments. You will hold a university degree in a relevant discipline, i.e. engineering, geography economics or mathematics also holding a chartered professional qualification or equivalent of a relevant institution (e.g. CEng, TPP, CIHT, ICE, CILT, TPS) What you'll get in return You will be joining a vibrant, modern office in a great location within Central London.
