Overview
The Corporate TMT group as this global firm is recognised as a leader in the field. They boast an enviable list of clients, many of them household names. Working within the broader corporate practice the team looks after the corporate needs of clients operating in the TMT sector. This role will have a focus on Cyber Security and the Data Privacy space and there will be the opportunity to gain experience across a diverse range of transactions including: data protection and trans-border data flows, online trading and payment systems, software development, licensing and distribution, protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights and outsourcing. Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate a good understanding, and genuine interest in the technology sector. It is also key that you are able to show experience of successfully managing and developing client relationships as lawyers in the team are given considerable responsibility for developing their own relationships from the outset. As leaders in the field it goes without saying that the team requires lawyers who are technically very strong and have excellent training and academics. Lawyers qualified in other common law jurisdictions are very welcome to apply as long as you can demonstrate substantial relevant TMT sector experience. The team is well known for being close knit and friendly.
