Overview
Public Practice Specialists Taylor Rose Recruitment are working with a leading and highly progressive firm of Accountants in Oxford, who are seeking a Business Services/ Accounts Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified and have experience of managing a varied portfolio of clients whilst managing junior staff and reviewing their work. You will oversee the preparation of year-end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT etc whilst acting as the primary point of contact for the firm’s clients and be liaising directly with the Partners. You will also ideally be experienced in the use of using cloud-based accounting software packages, such as Sage, Xero and Quickbooks There will also be regular client contact and the opportunity to working closely with a number of Partners, so strong communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships is required. Salary is dependent on experience and our client is offering an excellent remuneration and benefits package for the right individual. Part time will be considered. The role can be seen in more detail below: Responsibilities: Managing all aspects of the client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact Preparation and review of statutory accounts Preparation and review of management accounts Training junior staff and reviewing their work Preparation and review of corporate tax computations Monitoring WIP Client meetings Assisting with other ad hoc assignments Business development duties Requirements: ACA/ ACCA Qualified A strong background in accountancy practice Experience of managing a client portfolio and reviewing the work of junior staff.
