Overview

Investigator Location: Worthing £25,000, Full Time Our client is currently recruiting for an interesting and highly satisfying role within their Worthing office. As an Investigator, your focus is to carry out Intellectual Property related investigations, typically for major law firms and brand owners, concerning the use and infringement of trademarks, patents, copyright and designs. Responsibilities: Use a range of techniques to gather information, including research using databases, reviewing corporate records and conducting interviews Supervise expert contractors based in the UK and abroad the reports are expected to be comprehensive and of the highest professional standard as they may be used as evidence in court Write investigation proposals for clients, including the investigative steps to be taken and the associated costs and timelines - Ensuring that all documentation meet client briefs and that they are concise, coherent and free of errors Case management, including appropriate research, the commissioning and supervision of contractors with specialist skills, the management of budgets and liaising with clients Adhere to client objectives and provide all relevant information to ensure they can make a fully informed decision Analyse the results of investigations and consolidate them into detailed reports to clients. The ideal candidate: Educated to degree level Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines without compromising on accuracy or thoroughness Excellent research skills using online tools such as the internet and databases A confident telephone manner with strong interpersonal skills Meticulous eye for detail Ability to deliver information effectively, both written and over the phone Excellent IT skills, with extensive experience of common software packages such as Microsoft Office Ability to write clearly and concisely
