Overview
Environmental Manager My Client, a leading Food manufacturer based near Yeovil, is looking to recruit an Environmental Manager / Corporate Social Responsibility Manager (CSR). Your remit will cover the Environmental processes and procedures. Reporting directly to the site General Manager you will be working both on policy and ‘hands on’ alongside the functional leaders and managers, you will play a key role in influencing safe behaviours. With your engaging style and excellent understanding of Environmental issues you will be responsible for ensuring that best practice standards are developed and maintained on site. The role will be based near Yeovil, however, will cover 2 sites within an easy commute of each other Key responsibilities of the role will include: Complete the environmental administration for the site in accordance with the site’s ISO 14001 management system Carry out interrogation of water/energy meters on the site in order to track trends or alert to issues Maintain stocks of environmental consumables and essentials across the site Routinely undertake environmental surveys and assessments on site in order to maintain permitted compliance Take an active role in driving sustainability projects and treatment plant improvements Escalate any issues to site or group management in a timely manner Maintain a good working relationship with local water treatment company Act on any environmental complaints in a timely manner ensuring site and group management are informed informed Qualification/Experience Must be trained to an IEMA Environmental Course level or similar Familiar with ISO 14001 and waste water treatment Passion and appreciation for the natural environment Technically minded Salary Up to £35,000 - however there is some negotiation on this for the right candidate. The hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. This role will suit a person who is working/ has worked as a H&S Manager, HSE Manager, SHEQ Manager, SHE Manager, Health Safety and Environment Manager (SHE), CSR Manager, Environmental Manager, Compliance manager, Environmental specialist.
