Overview
Project Accountant (PT - 3 days per week) £27,000 - £31,000 (Pro-rata calculation based on 3 days per week) Plymouth Ref: 13667 A rewarding Project Accountant (PT - 3dpw) position has arisen with a market-leading organisation based in Plymouth. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be working as part of a small collaborative team and be responsible for preparing financial analysis for projects on a monthly basis, as well as preparing grant claims and other project reports, as required. Duties and responsibilities: Prepare accurate monthly project budget reports. Responsible for the preparations of Grant and Contract claims. Liaise with funding bodies and/or Auditors with regard to project claims, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. Responsible for the preparation of the funds summary at the year-end for the Head of Finance. Assist with year-end closure of accounts including Balance sheet account reconciliation and the production of schedules. Assist with the Annual Accounts audit answering Auditors queries on their visits. Provide financial analysis and management reports as requested by the Head of Finance. Assist the Head of Finance as required preparing ad-hoc reports. In order to be considered, you must have the following: Previous and demonstrable experience of working in a similar position in a charitable organisation. Ideally, be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, or at least studying towards the latter stages of the aforementioned qualifications. Excellent knowledge of Sage. Excellent Excel skills.
