Senior Regional Project Engineer Salary - 48,540 - 72,811 + 12% Bonus Location: Mars Wrigley, Estover, Plymouth, PL6 7PR (Slough office maybe considered) This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK Regional Engineering Team, ideally based at our Plymouth site (although Slough can be considered). Reporting to the UK Regional Engineering Manager, the role will support our capital investment plan, allowing the successful candidate to further develop technical and leadership skills. This position plays a key-role in the development and delivery of capital investments in the UK Cluster. It provides technical expertise and/or technical leadership to multi-disciplinary teams working for a portfolio of engineering activities, as well as providing functional expertise to the regional Community of Practice (COP). In this role you will: + Deliver the projects based on the Mars Project Management curriculum, from providing technical scoping with internal customer and business stakeholders, through design, until Project Closure (e.g. PRP, HO's, AAR). + Depending on complexity and project budget, this position could lead the technical functional pillar or be the overall engineering project leader. + Responsible for the budgets of the projects that are being led + Responsible for the Quality, Safety and environment impact on implemented technical solutions, as well as all other relevant legal obligations, during installation and execution of the project. This requires supervision, management of contractors, etc + Applying Mars global/regional standards and legal requirements in the execution of the projects. + As a functional expert, provides engineering expertise to other departments in as specific technology + Keep up to date on industry trends and issues in his specific area of expertise. + Be a member of the Regional Community of Practice in a specific technology. + Through liaison with the sites in the cluster, provides input to the regional COP on global standards to review and improve, support implementation of standard in the cluster. To do this role you'll need: + Bachelor's degree in Engineering + Significant experience as an engineer, with proven success as a project lead + Specific expertise in an area such as packaging, process, or controls is required + Advanced Project Management skills/experience + Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. + Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + Ability to lead and coordinate employees & third parties + Excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience of building effective teams In return we offer: + Competitive Salary & Benefits + Flexible Working + A focus on personal development and opportunity to grow in this role and future roles.
