As a result of our expansion plans and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Project Manager, to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth. Job Purpose: To assist in the planning, executing and finalising projects in accordance to strict deadlines and within budget, following the Agile Methodology. The successful candidate will produce product requirement documents for inhouse software development, as well as liaising with third party suppliers to produce achievable project plans. The successful candidate will need to coordinate project teams and communicate with key stakeholders, as well as provide daily updates throughout a project’s lifecycle. Strong administrative & communication skills will be required to assist with the smooth running of a project, scheduling and holding review meetings, communicating progress and issues with stakeholders and third parties. The Project Manager will run small to medium projects on his/her own from end to end and may be required to assist with larger projects. Principal Accountabilities: Attending project kick off meetings, and then producing the required project requirements document, for sign off by the stakeholders Scheduling the timings of the project as well as a proposed start date Managing the project from start to finish Assistance with testing of changes and implementation of these into the live environment Produce daily and/or weekly project updates as the project requires Maintain good working relationships with all areas of the business Monitor all project documentation for completeness, accuracy and for version control Co-ordinate schedules with team members and organise meetings as and when required Attend meetings and take minutes and action points then feed this back to the project teams Respond to queries from various sources in a timely manner regarding the project Act as a single point of contact for all assigned projects Maintaining and ensuring an effective and efficient office environment Ensure a thorough understanding of all elements of the Project Team to provide an effective and informed service to colleagues and customers Represent the Project Team at meetings as requested by the Lead Project Manager Provide handover to the Support Function following Project Closure Deputise for the Lead Project Manager when required Skills & Knowledge: Good knowledge and understanding of structured project management methods Understanding of the Agile Methodology Strong organisational skills Keen eye for detail Customer service focused Ability to work well within a team and confidently as in individual Knowledge of MS Office Suite incl MS Project and MS Visio Ability to host meetings and conference calls as required Document Management Skills Influencing and Negotiating Skills Experience: Experience working with a range of projects as a project administrator/support or manager Understanding of IT systems and project methodologies such as Agile Understanding of the Retail environment Exposure to a software development environment Exposure to an infrastructure environment Personal Qualities and Attitudes: High level of oral, written and computer software communication skills Efficient and able to prioritise tasks Self-Motivated and able to work under own initiative to achieve project goals Ability to work according to tight deadlines and under pressure Creative and problem-solving thinking Team player Special Requirements: Able to travel on occasion to external sites Overnight stays may be required on occasion Occasional evening/weekend work may be required to support projects and the business Hours Work: Mo nday to Friday 08:45 - 17:30, a flexible working pattern is available once settled into the role between the hours of 08:00 - 18.15. From time to time, as per project requirements, some work may occasionally be required outside of these times. Salary depending on experience.
