Are you experienced in litigation and motor claims looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Action 365 have a fantastic opportunity open for an experienced Litigation Controller to join our expanding vibrant claims team in Cheadle Hulme. What do you need? As our Litigation Controller, you need to have a full understanding of the stages of litigation, cost implications and ability to action effectively as well as the ability to agree settlement cases prior to engaging with panel solicitors. You need market awareness of legal entities with the ability to demonstrate claims savings by providing handlers with litigation containment advice. Ability to analyse MI to identify root causes and provide recommendations to litigation strategy. You will also have: Effective liability decision making. Accurate recording of information and assess indemnity. Converse effectively at all levels both written and verbally. Ability to achieve KPIs and SLAs and manage ACPC. Ability to identify fraud concerns, large loss and understand delegated authority considerations. What will you be doing? In the role of Litigation Controller, you will be responsible for dealing with litigation arising from a motor claim proactively and cost effectively whilst using the telephone to progress and mitigate claims costs. You will assign panel solicitors where appropriate and communicate to agree case strategy. You will also effectively influence the third party and/or representatives to settle the claim with the ability to handle all heads of loss for a motor claim accurately, and efficiently using mitigation arguments when valid and proactive negotiation. Key duties include: Act as referral point for threats of litigation to contain/minimise litigation and provide handlers with liability and/or quantum case strategy. Ensure the claim details are fully validated for potential fraud/Large Loss indicators. Apply any specific handling strategies to control third party claims costs. Proactive diary management to ensure settlement is reached expediently and cost effectively. Collate causes of unnecessary litigation and assist in devising strategies to control. Assist with developing handling strategies to keep third party costs to a minimum. Diarise and chase the claim to ensure settlement is reached expediently and within legal deadlines. Provide updates on the status of the claims to customers and update internal stakeholders. What can we offer you?
