Overview
Based in the European HQ of a highly successful business, this role will be reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager and will provide Senior Management and the Sales & Marketing teams with insightful business intelligence, information and data. The Market Analyst will be producing market share reports, translating new business requirements into relevant visuals and reports, streamlining and automating data extraction and supporting performance reporting for specific business strategies. Responsibilities of the Market Analyst will include: Taking ownership of the monthly order reconciliation and reporting processes for EMEA, ensuring all datasets are complete and accurate, all data validation routines are carried out, and that any system or data issues are promptly investigated and resolved. Updating the EMEA BI platform with latest orders and share data for all regions and all product lines. Providing training for all users and ensuring reports continue to meet the requirements of all stakeholders. Supporting the organisation with regular and ad-hoc performance reporting and variance analysis, and provide insightful commentaries, highlighting areas of concern and emerging issues for further study. Preparing reporting packs to support weekly calls, monthly scheduling meetings and bi-monthly reviews. Maintaining and supporting the development of the BI reporting platform. Supporting and at times leading internal projects aimed at enhancing the analysis and reporting capability of the MI department. Competitive market analysis, intelligence gathering and dissemination (both qualitative and quantitative). Creating and maintaining MI purchase orders in the company systems and ensuring that vendors are set up appropriately and PO numbers are included on all invoicing. The Market Analyst will ideally possess: Previous experience of market and competitive analysis. Ability to work confidently and efficiently with large and complex data sets. Strong attention to detail with excellent numeracy skills. Effective analytical skills to interpret and cross-reference multiple sources of information. Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills. An awareness of Cognos BI / Power BI (or similar) and CRM software would be desirable. Ability to work proactively and independently to manage role workloads and to deliver to tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. An excellent benefits package is offered and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm.
