Overview

Leading Architects and Design Practice £35-40k per annum North London Purpose: Wide ranging role to ensure the smooth running of the Practice facilities in London and Manchester offices, managing the support team and overseeing the management of works and snagging items. Facilities: Manage front of house and reception Manage Receptionist and Office Assistant in London and Studio Administrator in Manchester Manage maintenance contracts for all services - ensuring planned maintenance is carried out as required Manage suppliers (eg. stationery, headed stationery, coffee, recycling, cleaners etc.) Ensure premises defects are dealt with promptly Oversee utilities contracts Maintain fire and security contracts and procedures Assist with health and safety in the London and Manchester studios Organise internal moves and relocations Prepare and manage facilities budget Manage completion of remaining defects / snags on original building works in London premises including roofs work Day to day management of the planning, organisation and smooth running of the extension of the reception area and building works for the creation of an informal meeting and event space and large conference room, as well as landscaping of the forecourt o Liaising with architect o Reporting to Board on progress o Facilitation decisions when required o Monitoring spend against budget The ideal candidate will be: Practical and methodical Willing to get hands dirty Strong communication skills Experience of managing a small team Interest in and knowledge of the architecture sector and culture. Personal attributes: Organised and able to multi-task and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines An eye for detail and accuracy Ability to produce clear, relevant information Value-led and aware of social, ethical and workplace responsibilities.
