Overview

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, our valued client is looking to add a Production Planner to their team on a fixed term (12 month) contract to cover Maternity. The successful candidate will be working for an innovative Power Manufacturer based in Wakefield. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day planning of production schedules Assess orders and monitor part availability & lead times Communicate effectively internally for the planning of orders Issue new plans for the Production Department and ensure you obtain progress updates throughout the day Attend daily planning & production meetings as well as any other meetings relating to your role Resolve any queries with the Customer Support Department if they arise Continually undertake forward planning to ensure all future orders are completed in time Liaise with the Purchasing Department when parts are required to order Complying with the Company Quality Control and H&S procedures Key Skills & Experience Knowledge of SAP (Business One) Top-level communication skills Production planning experience Competent in MS Office, mostly Excel Analytical Problem solver Personal Qualities This is a rapidly growing business with potential opportunities beyond the initial contract. We are looking for candidates that have a background in Planning, ideally of a manufacturing business. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach to the role, as you may be asked on time to time to complete duties that fall outside the remit of the above responsibilities.
