Overview
Production Planner Wakefield Full time Permanent £Competitive Salary This award winning manufacturing company are seeking to recruit a Production Planner to cover a maternity contract, although there is a good possibility that the position will become permanent. The initial contract will be for a year starting in July however they will recruit for an April/May start to allow for a handover and extensive training. · Reporting to the Production Supervisor and ultimately Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning of production schedules · Using SAP (Business One) to assess orders, looking closely at part availability & dates required · Communicating effectively with key departments and personnel in the planning of orders ensuring inputting of information into an Excel spreadsheet is done with accuracy and on time · Issue new plans for the Production Department and ensure you obtain progress updates throughout the day · Attend daily planning & production meetings as well as any other meetings relating to your role · If there are any queries with orders or if any date changes arise, you will be required to liaise with the Customer Support Department to ensure these are communicated and where necessary resolved · Continually undertake forward planning to ensure all future orders are completed in time · Liaise with the Purchasing Department if any parts require ordering This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Bagnall Hopkins Recruitment who is operating as an employment agency/business.Your application will be sent to one of our consultants for review, at which stage we will be in touch to discuss your details further.
