Overview
Hunter Global are actively recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established Production and Manufacturing site based in the heart of Lincolnshire. This role is to focus on Continuous Improvements for the client’s sites. Key Responsibilities - · To Drive quality and Continuous Improvements in the development process, ensuring Customer focus to capture and feedback lessons learned. · Provide Quality Management representation and support for training, audits and quality systems development for the business. · To support the engineering collaboration process for all customer products within the current client brands. · Develop, Implement and Maintain ISO 9001 standard Quality System for up to 3 sites, 400 employees. · Support annual Quality System audit programs for the business to ensure continuing compliance to ISO9001 and benchmarking against IATF16949 for up to 3 sites, 400 employees. · Drive quality & C.I. in the development process utilising APQP and New Product Introduction / Development for all plants. · Identify and fully investigate quality issues and opportunities for improvement utilising CI tools and methodologies, leading to sustainable corrective actions. Principal Accountabilities – · Assure proper support and preparation of customer audits, customer or supplier Plants (globally, where necessary) in order to facilitate a positive outcome, considering the implications of ISO9001 and IATF16949, VDA 6.3 and Customer Specific Requirements. · Drive Customer Quality Concern investigations establish true root cause and to ensure consistent application of preventive actions (lessons learned). · Represent business management regarding quality issues, e.g. high-level meetings, Critical Customer Quality Concerns, Warranty Issues, etc to facilitate effective customer relations. · Integrate lessons learned from product, processes and suppliers into development and new product launches. · Support Product Launch / Mass Production Trial Runs / New Machines / Lines and take a Fresh Eye approach and Go Gemba. · Support the Quality & CI initiatives (OPEX) to ensure a lean culture change in line with the company’s strategy and midterm plan (MTP) · Develop, implement, monitor and initiate improvements in the Quality Management System (QMS) within all areas of the business, to achieve best practice and fully reflect ISO9001 standards. Qualifications - · Ideally educated to Degree level or equivalent experience · Auditor certification to ISO9001 would be advantageous · Six Sigma Green Belt (certified is essential) · Automotive Core Tool Training · CQI Membership Skills & Knowledge - · Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, tenacity, persuasion, negotiation, assertiveness, presentation skills · Excellent communication skills both verbal and written · Excellent organisation skills · Excellent team working skills as well as initiative to work alone · Working knowledge of Automotive Core Tools and Quality tools and techniques. · Strong leadership skills · Knowledge of change management · Good numeracy skills and time management skills · Good facilitation skills · Ability to use, apply and resource PCs for business requirements · Root Cause / Corrective Action Knowledge · ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards and certification · ISO14001 and ISO 45001 standards · Statistical analysis of data Experience - · Minimum of 3 years manufacturing business awareness · Minimum of 2 years Quality Systems implementation and support experience · Able to demonstrate Lean / Six Sigma knowledge and the application of it. · The application of other CI methodologies & tools · Ideally will have a minimum of Two years QA experience within Manufacturing Company · Experienced I the Involvement in FMEA / NPI Processes · Experienced in Leading Root Cause investigations with cross functional teams · Confidence in Promoting & embedding Quality & CI within a Manufacturing Company · Experienced in Change Management Processes · Will be confident in Mapping and documenting processes / procedures / work instructions · Must hold Project Management Experience · Internal Auditing experience is essential · Supplier Auditing is ideal Essential Skills & Behaviours - · Ability to work to company core values · Motivated to keep up to date on new developments within quality & CI and promote these within the company · Effective Communication – able to choose most effective medium by which to communicate with internal and external contacts · Planning and Organising – able to organise workload making sure scheduled audits, FMEA’s and CI meetings are planned and carried out regularly · Project Management Skills – able to manage resources required for quality & CI improvement projects providing feedback/updates to all involved parties · Influencing & Networking - able to work with internal and external contacts to find solutions to common goals and to facilitate corrective action programmes · Written reporting skills – able to analyse data and present findings to different audiences. · IT Skills – able to use full range of Microsoft packages and other quality software packages including basic software programming · Flexibility of working hours when visiting customers or suppliers · Clean Full Driving Licence Hunter Global Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment / and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
