Overview
Transport/Traffic Planner - Derbyshire, DE55 4QH Freightroute are a family owned major player in the Express Pallet Distribution sector, processing up to 3500 pallets per night within their own network of ten depots. To further build on recent successful growth they are now looking to recruit a Transport/Traffic Planner to join their team based at Somercotes - Alfreton, DE55. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm, with additional Saturday Morning’s on a rotational basis, looking after a fleet of ten vehicles delivering and collecting palletised goods throughout the South Yorkshire / Derbyshire and Leicester regions. Working as a member of a small transport team, you will be involved with the day to day communications with customers through to drivers allocating collections, so a knowledge of the local area would be advantageous when planning deliveries and collections. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will have the experience, skill and flexible attitude to take on this role and thrive. Ideally candidates will have at least one years’ experience working within a Traffic Office and have experience of Traffic Management Software, although training will be given to the right applicant. Experience within a similar Traffic Office role Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels, in a professional and polite manner A confident telephone manner and an ability to work under pressure at times Geographical knowledge of South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Leicester regions is essential IT literate Thorough understanding of transport regulations, including drivers’ hours and working time Suitable skills and experience include: Transport Planner, Transport Administrator, Transport Clerk, Traffic Planner, Logistics planner, Traffic Clerk, Logistics Clerk How to apply If you have the desired skills and experience and would like to be considered for this Transport Planner role then we would like to hear from you.
