So are we We are looking for an experienced Senior Carer to work day shifts in Newcastle Benefits - Continued development to support career progression - Comprehensive Induction Programme - Pension Scheme - Long Service Award - Mandatory Training provided - Uniform provided - Working a part of a team supported by the Home Manager Job Role: -To provide residents with the highest standard of quality care and support, in accordance with the individual care plan. -To act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the home. -To act as a role model for other care staff in respect of day to day activities with particular emphasis on attaining Standard and Framework in Health and Social Care. -To educate and enable other care staff to practice skills under direct supervision until competent. -To work at all times in ways which demonstrate an active understanding of the principles of the with appropriate guidance from senior staff. -To facilitate in the admission of new residents. -To support staff, where appropriate, to carry out their clinical responsibilities for residents. -To assist qualified staff in the on-going assessment of residents, reporting any changes to the person in charge. -To adopt a neat, clean and tidy appearance at all times and wear the appropriate uniform as supplied by the Home/Care Centre. -To carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard to the Health and Safety of self, colleagues, residents and visitors to the Home.
