An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to the Coastal Youth Team in the CFYP care group. The team are based in Ipswich but cover the Coastal area of East Suffolk. This is a temporary 6 month post to support the team whilst a colleague undertakes a Trust secondment. You would be part of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team (MDT) that is well-established and focused on supporting the best recovery outcomes for the young people and families we work with. You will be supported to care coordinate a group of young people in a caseload which may prove challenging in terms of complex medical health needs, diversity and risk management. You would need to relish working with young people and being part of a team, thinking about discussing complex cases, on-going learning and responding to crisis both in terms of your own caseload and in regular duty responsibilities. It would also be helpful if you have had prior experience of working with young adults from 14-25 years and were aware of the multiple factors that impact on their mental wellbeing and safeguarding.
