Whitecroft Lighting are a market leading lighting solutions manufacturer and are working closely with Perpetual Engineering Partnerships to recruit a career-focused lighting design engineer to join their expanding lighting development team. Whitecroft provide a wide range of lighting solutions for Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Industrial applications and are experiencing exciting times. This is the main UK Whitecroft site, consisting of 500-plus employees and they are part of the Fagerhult Group which is the third largest lighting manufacturer in the world.They have multi-disciplined teams of lighting design engineers with a successful real-world track record of translating ideas into first class products and this role has been a result of two promotions. It is a broad and varied role working in collaboration with wider teams and customers. Ideal skills and qualities include: As an experienced lighting designer you will have a passion and desire for lighting design and development. Experienced in 3D CAD such as Dialux and Relux (or BIM and Revit) technologies. Strong face to face interpersonal skills with the ability to support key customers achieve their design ambitions. Motivated by the prospect of design excellence with a practical and commercial awareness. An ability to multi-task and handle a number of projects at a time and be a genuine team player. Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in architecture, product design or electrical engineering. The role is both diverse and challenging and offers an inciting career path within a leading design focused industry. You will be creating lighting design models for building spaces from 200 to 2000 metres and handling a number of projects at any one time. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a flare for lighting design and you should also ideally possess a portfolio to highlight your expertise.
