Job Description

Your new role As an Assistant Advisor in our Structures Delivery team you will be responsible for the lighting and road restraint assets across the Highways England network. Your previous experience within a project environment where you have analysed and evaluated technical data and built strong stakeholder relationships will stand you in good stead to develop into a Specialist. You will provide accurate, practical and timely technical support to resolve issues. You will be involved in developing and implementing policies, standards and operating procedures to support the development, renewal and maintenance of Highways England lighting assets. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and interest and be supported to become a technical expert. What you'll be leading on * Contribute to the preparation, review and quality assurance of technical documentation, presentations and papers * Plan and manage project activities and resources * Ensure delivery of project objectives to time and cost * Provide technical support to colleagues * Building and maintaining relationships with external suppliers, contractors and government departments To be successful * Experience of working with a range of suppliers and stakeholders in the delivery of programme & project objectives & in developing effective long term working relationships. * Experience of working in a programme and project environment in line with Project Management principles. * Stakeholder management skills, with evidence of successful engagement with both internal and external stakeholders * Ability to collaborate with others to set standards and implement best practices.
