The Street Lighting team are looking for an apprentice who will be focused on delivering high quality street lighting works and safely. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, gaining job-specific knowledge and skills. The scheme gives you the opportunity to earn a wage whilst learning and working towards nationally recognised professional qualifications in your chosen career path. Applicants must have an understanding of Health and Safety, along with a flexible approach to your working day and a willingness to learn. It is essential that you have a minimum of 3-5 GCSE's A*-C (or equivalent) coupled with an interest in Street Lighting. This is a fixed term post for a two-year period and will start in September 2020. You will be paid National Minimum Wage dependent on age: * 25 & over 8.72 21-24 8.20 * 18 - 20 6.45 Under 18 4.55 Due to the Apprenticeship entry criteria, applications cannot be accepted from any applicant who has already gained a similar qualification at level 3 or above in the role applied for. For example, if you have a degree in Civil Engineering you will not be eligible to apply for a Civil Engineering apprenticeship post. However, you could apply for any other apprenticeship post.
