Overview

Purchase Ledger - Sheffield - Up to £20,000 Your new company Your new employer is a well known engineering business based in Sheffield. Your new role Your role will be to take responsibility for all Purchase Ledger activities for the company and to provide a professional and welcoming Reception service from 2pm each day. You will join a team of 3 and will be reporting into the Assistant Accountant. Main duties and responsibilities: Open new accounts on Navision Register and post invoices on Navision Raise payments on Navision Verify sub contractors on HMRC website Vendor statement reconciliations Raise purchase orders Deal with payment queries Deal with invoice queries File and archive invoices Process urgent vendor payments (pro-forma) Post direct debits onto vendor accounts on Navision Manage utilities invoices for the company Sort and distribute the post to the Finance team Deal with reminders and overdue letters coming into the company Provide general support to the finance team Support Credit Controller To cover the Reception desk from 2pm each day, and to cover holidays Organise refreshments for internal meetings Provide administration support to the sales team Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably requested What you'll need to succeed My client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger to join their finance team. You further bring the following: A proven track record of working in purchase ledger Excellent communication skills Confident telephone manner Attention to detail and accuracy Experience of Navision would be an advantage Flexible team worker What you'll get in return You will receive a competitive salary of up to £20,000, working days are Monday to Friday, from 8:45am - 5pm, 37.5 hrs/week. Holiday entitlement is 25 days pro-rata during the holiday year which runs from 01st April to 31st March, plus stats on top. A friendly office environment.
