Overview

The London Borough of Islington is currently recruiting for a Housing Data Analyst to work closely with Prevention & Options Manager and to co-ordinate and update on the statistical data requirements for the Homelessness Case Level Information Classification (H-CLIC) and coordinate the quarterly data returns following the implementation of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017. The Role The focus of this role is to coordinate statistical data on the H-CLIC and generate quarterly reports. Your responsibilities will also be: To assess, investigate and make decisions on applications for the submission of H-CLIC returns. To assist in supporting the Prevention & Options Managers in producing effective meaningful statistical data. To review, liaise with relevant team to analyse housing applications to verify information received from applicants are correct and to ensure that all relevant data has been captured. Where applicable to interview members of the public to gather information regarding their housing issues so that it can be updated onto the council's database where applicable. To input applications on the computer systems and carry out any amendments where necessary. To provide appropriate confidential and impartial advice and assistance to staff in-line with the relevant housing policies and Housing legislation. To verify applicant's data where necessary to establish the accuracy of the client's circumstance. To take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person's / vulnerable adults who you come into contact with. To communicate in person and in writing to senior officers regarding HCLIC data. To update and maintain the Council's database and manual records, according to guidelines. To analyse and provide information for statistical returns and management information when required To participate in the training of new staff and people in other organisations who need to be conversant with HCLIC The Candidate To be considered for this role, you will require a high level of IT knowledge, especially surrounding collecting and interpreting data, as well as generating and analysing reports. It will also be highly beneficial if you have housing experience, ideally within the homelessness sector, with a good understanding of recent legislation, such as the Housing Act 1996, HRA 2017 and H-CLIC.
