Overview

Our client is a multi multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy providing structural and civil engineering, planning, design, and consulting services. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Senior Drainage Analyst to join their Catchment Management Team in their Exeter Office. Role: The successful candidate will work on diverse drainage modelling, flood risk, flood alleviation and drainage infrastructure projects. Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and forward thinking individual to work within their team to deliver these projects and provide improved ways of working and technical input. Responsibilities: Project management of projects with good commercial awareness and financial control. Carry out technical work on projects and ensure high levels of health and safety. Technical quality of own and team's work. Prepare feasibility, designs, calculations, evaluations, design statements and other reports. Check work including third party design proposals as identified in the Project Quality Plan. Good understanding of legislation and current design methods and provide general technical support to own discipline team members. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of standard specifications as required. Engage in client and third party liaison. Essential Qualifications/Skills: Civil Engineering degree Minimum of 10 years' experience of water based projects. Experience in drainage design and designing and implementing SuDs. Experience of modelling of surface water drainage, watercourses and waste water networks, preferably using Info works ICM, Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or Micro Drainage. Strong analytical, critical thinking and organisational skills. Able to work well in teams. Desirable Qualifications/Skills: Geography or Civil Engineering degree. Professionally qualified (ICE or CIWEM). A good understanding of responsibilities of water companies, lead local flood authorities and Environment Agency in relation to flood risk and drainage.
