Technical Production Manager Based in Greater Manchester Job ref: JH /50095 Salary: Circa £40000 Hours: Monday-Thursday 07.00-15.30 Friday 07.00-13.30 The role: Reporting into the Business Manager you will be a hands on Injection Moulding Process Specialist with supervisory responsibility for Operator, Setters and Technicians on shift. Responsibilities: ?To oversee, manage & be fully hands on all aspects of shop floor injection moulding activity. ?Process optimisation of all moulded parts. ?Setter / technician management. ?Operator Management & staffing levels in line with the daily / weekly/ monthly plan from MP&L. ?New machine commissioning with supplier. ?Shop layout optimisation. ?Machine & ancillary equipment maintenance & repair. ?To assist with mould tool maintenance & repair. ?New product introduction involvement. ?5S responsibility for the mould shop & tool storage areas. ?Liaise with all members of staff to improve reject levels at start up & volume production. ?To help with collating daily & weekly operational KPI’s. ?Conducting tool trials as required. ?Ensure the efficient / cost effective running of the mould shop. ?To ensure machines & ancillary equipment is working & maintained correctly.
