Mobile Engineer Perm Salary: Competitive Glasgow/ Edinburgh Posted: Thursday 21st Nov 2019 Closing TBC, dependent on applications received to date Meraki Talent is currently recruiting on behalf of one of the worlds largest Broadcasting organisation who are looking to recruit an IOS Developer for its digital platform. The successful candidate will have has a passion for mobile, a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, architectural patterns, and test-driven development. Responsibilities of the Mobile Engineer You will contribute and lead the development of features, fix bugs and issues, review code from others in the team and make a key contribution to the entire development lifecycle, from conception and discovery through development and delivery. Everybody on the team has a say in how we work, so you need to be able to work with others across disciplines - collaborating with UX designers, API engineers, testers and product owners You work in both Objective-C and Swift, with all new features written in Swift. You'll be happy to discuss technical details with the rest of the engineering team, contributing to discussions and communicating your own ideas. Background of the Mobile Engineer Real-world iOS development experience Real-world experience with Objective-C and/or Swift in mobile apps development Experience making significant design and architectural contributions to mobile applications A good understanding of Object Oriented Programming Understanding of design patterns such as MVVM, MVP, VIPER Demonstrable understanding of Test-Driven Development Experience of source control systems such as Git A track record of producing maintainable code within collaborative environments Is this job for you?
