Overview
The company operates an international network of facilities serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, power generation, oil & gas, construction, machine building medical and transportation. They are the world’s leading provider of their product and is a vital link in the manufacturing supply chain, employing over 5,000 people in over 20 countries. The scope of this position is to act as liaison between the customer and the company. The Customer Service Manager advocates the customer’s need for quality, cost and on time delivery and works actively with the sales team to ensure we maximize the business potential of each customer. The incumbent will serve as the primary response for production and process inquiries and will assist with managing the customer expectations. The incumbent works with minimal supervision within established guidelines as set by the Production Manager. Main Responsibilities Responsible for updating customers at all times with job status and current due date. Complete the commercial contract review process and create internal works orders on the local ERP. Be involved in the sites planning process and job scheduling. In conjunction with the Production Manager control and expedite sub-contract processing to meet customer’s delivery requirements. Coordinates commitments made to customers to ensure timely deliveries, either verbally or via customers own spreadsheet to set timescales. Recommends changes that will improve the accuracy of projected delivery of the parts. Assist with data entry into the customer portal to support the sales function. Assist with tracking monthly sales figures for site meetings. Good housekeeping of own work area and contribute to the general upkeep of the working environment. Become familiar with the "check -work-check" process and be committed to a "right first time" approach to all tasks carried out. Operate in a safe manner and undertake any training necessary to enable you to fulfil the requirements of your position. To uphold your statutory duty of care for your own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions. To enable the company to meet its own legal duties and to report any hazardous situations or defective equipment. Wear personal protective equipment provided by the company. Ensure a high level of communication to employees, managers & colleagues.
