Overview
Cathedral Appointments are currently seeking a Financial Controller for our client’s leading manufacturing business in Newton Abbot. This is a senior role within the finance team where you will be tasked with helping the business grow in both sales and profit. You will act as a manager to 3 finance team members and contribute to the overall management of the rest of the finance team. To be successful in this role you will need to be formally qualified with CIMA/ACCA or ACA and possess excellent analytical and commercial acumen. Responsibilities: Working within the Finance team with an overall focus on supporting sales and profit growth Supervising 3 finance team members and contributing to overall management Supporting with month and year end accounting close processes Forecasting and budgeting Continuous improvements on finance and business processes Provide strategic planning input Support with M&A, GDPR and ad hoc projects Requirements: Formally qualified with CIMA/ACCA or ACA Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner Commercially aware with the ability to provide good strategic input Advanced spreadsheet skills Good management and leadership skills Ability to foster a positive culture of health, safety and wellbeing This role will pay a competitive salary and represents a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading business in a pivotal role.
