The Role: SeniorBuyer The Salary: £45,000 The Product: Car Parts Location: South West London The Role Our client is looking for a well-versed senior buyer who isn’t afraid to go after what they need and get the best price for it You will establish relationships and long term development plans with suppliers based upon common goals and objectives. It’s a given that you will have previous buying, purchasing or procurement experience but ideally this will come from a similar sized organisation. No managerial responsibility is necessary, but a wealth of experience is. Responsibilities · Understanding the customer base and using this knowledge to develop customer-centric product ranges that will deliver company sales & margin targets. · Negotiate and secure promotional opportunities with suppliers in line with sales and profitability requirements · Work with key internal stakeholders to communicate and manage product range. · Negotiate trading terms & manage high profile suppliers · Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Far East suppliers. · Identify and develop new supplier opportunities in order to improve market position or further improve profitability · Identify new product and supplier opportunities (including new overseas sourcing opportunities) Experience · Experience in purchasing (automotive products preferred) · Ability to build relationships with suppliers (good team player) · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Excellent negotiation skills · Excellent MS Office skills, including Excel and Word · Ability to balance priorities and manage time effectively How to apply In the first instance please introduce yourself to us by submitting your CV/LinkedIn profile to us using the “apply” button on this web page.
