Overview
My client is a large infrastructure and utilities company who service the public and private sector. They are a leader in the Utilities / Highways sector working with some of the largest telecoms companies in the UK. They work on the design and installation of copper and fibre networks in all four corners of the country. They have been centralised in Cambridge for several years and still have the family run business vibe they started with. They are currently looking for a Resource Scheduler who would plan daily and weekly works and liaise directly between clients and crews in order to meet time sensitive SLA's. You would also be submitting permits in advance of works and manage crews' time on site through to completion. The ideal candidate will have a background in Resource Scheduling or Planning preferably within Civil Engineering, as well as experience in effective prioritisation of activities and deadlines. You must have the ability to work independently as well as manage the diaries and works of a civil team in the sector. This is a high priority role for my client and will be given support required with area-specific and contract knowledge, and any specialist applications or processes involved. This is a permanent position and offers the opportunity to gain skills in a unique industry and gain new industry skills. The role is based out of their Head Office on the outskirts of Cambridge and the role comes with an excellent package including a £24,000 salary.
