Supervising Social Worker - Independent Fostering Agency £32,000 to £36,000 East London Compass Associates are proud to be working closely with a revered Independent Fostering Agency in finding a new Supervising Social Worker to join their team in East London. Our valued client is seeking a passionate and organised professional to manage a medium caseload of foster carers. Our client is able to offer ongoing support and training, including the ASYE programme for newly qualified Social Workers. The Role Within this role, you will be required to recruit, assess, train and support an allocated caseload of foster carers to ensure they're able to provide effective care to the children and young people they look after. Working within a team of experienced professionals, including other Supervising Social Workers, you must work effectively in a group and adhere to the IFA's values and expectations. A comprehensive insight into all responsibilities for this role can be available upon request. You must be willing to update Form Fs and act as a panel member when necessary, therefore flexibility and adaptability are a crucial part of this role. This is a full-time position that will require travelling in order to conduct visits to fostering households as well as attend meetings and supervisions. You will require a valid HCPC registration as well as a full, clean UK driver's license with access to a vehicle. The Criteria Relevant Social Work qualification, including a Social Work degree, DipSW or CQSW. Experience in children's social work, preferably within fostering. Strong understanding of the National Minimum Standards and fostering regulations. Great organisational and interpersonal skills. Valid HCPC registration and a full, clean driver's license with access to a vehicle. The Location The office for this role is deemed commutable from Barking, Ilford, Stratford, Dagenham, Romford, Walthamstow and Hornchurch.
