Job Title: HR Advisor Salary: £36k Location: Ilford Industry Sector Charity Hours: Full time, 12 month FTC About the company Ashley Kate are delighted to be working with a leading Charity in their search for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract. About the role This is an important role whereby you will provide proactive, professional and appropriate business focused HR and L&D guidance and support. Your main duties will include – Advise, support and coach managers to deal with a range of employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance, managing performance and capability issues, absence management, Employment Tribunals and TUPE transfers. Advice and support managers during change programmes (restructuring and redesign), exit and redundancy and redeployment programmes, and project manage these where applicable. Assist managers in the consultation process with staff and provide professional guidance, solutions and support on the implementation process. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures coaching managers to understand the implications of their actions and explaining the extent to which discretion is available. Assist managers with the identification of vacancies, interviewing and administering testing as required. Facilitate access to L&D interventions guiding managers to the most appropriate solutions. Manage staff assigned including recruitment and selection, induction, appraisal, training and development, communication, support and performance management. Complete other tasks and assume other duties as required and appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the role. About you To be suitable for this role you will need to possess the following skills/experience. Proven track record in operational HR or people management including experience of dealing with complex issues e.g. disciplinaries, grievances, Employment Tribunals. Experience of advising managers to develop and performance manage their people Experience of providing a client service using a variety of methods: telephone, email and face to face. Experience of line managing people through all aspects of employment including recruitment, performance management and development.
