ITU – The Wellington Hospital – Staff Nurse – Entry Are you a qualified Nurse that is looking to begin your career in ITU? HCA Healthcare UK are currently looking for qualified Nurses to Join the intensive Care Team at The Wellington Hospital, to begin their career in ITU. With our nurse to patient ratio frequently at 1:1, we will give you the opportunity to do what you do best: Care. Working within one of our 24-hour critical care units will keep you challenged and will give you the opportunity to develop your skills. All our units are equipped with the latest technology and provide specialized care to level 2 & 3 patients; you will have the opportunity to work across an extremely diverse and acute patient-load covering a range of specialities, including Cardiac, Liver, Neuro & Spinal. In addition to the amazing team and patients, we have an excellent education team that can work with you to offer a bespoke learning programme, including the opportunity to undertake your ITU foundation and/or your Critical Care Course within the first year The Wellington can offer you both full and part-time roles alongside some great benefits: Salary: The attractive and competitive salary for this role starts at £32,270 (with additional Shift enhancement) and will be dependent upon skills and experience. Skills & Experience: NMC Registered General Nurse Acute medical/surgical experience Motivated and forward thinking individual with excellent communication skills Good time management and prioritisation skills Duties & Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to meet the patient and their family’s needs Responsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges Ability to quickly identify any clinical problems and report or take appropriate action Undertake extended roles such as venepuncture, cannulation and phlebotomy Initiate improvements and developments in clinical issues and delivery of care If you think that making the move into ITU could be exactly the right step your career needs, then please apply to us today or email David.fitzgeraldhcahealthcare.co.uk with a copy of your CV.
