London Bridge Hospital has expanded into the top four floors of the new Guy’s Cancer Centre. Consultants from London’s top teaching hospitals will offer full surgical provision in urology, gynaecology, breast, ENT, maxillofacial and head and neck, as well as reconstructive surgery for these specialties. The hospital will partner with Leaders in Oncology (LOC) across chemotherapy, outpatient oncology and haematology. The London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses the recently opened outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard, the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site, and a further five outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City, Canary Wharf and Kent. Patients benefit from multidisciplinary streamlined care, investment in leading-edge technology and London teaching hospital consultants. Our day surgery covers two floors,one for patients with local and general Anaesthetics and the other for Endoscopy, which is Jag accredited. The Endoscopy Unit provides excellent care for patients who are in need of investigations of the digestive tract including the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon. London Bridge Hospital offers more complex procedures than any other UK private hospital and was the first private hospital in the UK to offer Endobronchial Ultrasound Service (EBUS).The unit performs a whole range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures including ERCP, EUS and EBUS Job Description As an Endoscopy/Day Surgery Nurse at the London Bridge Hospital, you will help to assess, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients undergoing endoscopic procedures and will assist in the smooth running of the department’s lists and activities. In addition to this, you will contribute to an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of an excellent service providing outstanding patient care. Full time role working 37.5hrs per week (Shift patterns will vary depending on allocation and flexibility will be required. The unit is open 0700 – 2000 Monday – Friday) The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £31,972 - £35,169 4% shift enhancement and will be dependent upon skills and experience.
