£28,000 - £32,000 / Blackburn / Buyer Your new company- You will join an excellent Manufacturing organisation Your new role- Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will deliver the following key responsibilities- Taking responsibility for a portfolio of suppliers, including supplier meetings, negotiation of terms and contracts, reviewing and managing existing contracts and ensuring effective supplier performance Procuring all direct and indirect services and materials with a focus on price, quality, specification and availability Analysing and reporting on spend across the business and identifying opportunities and driving implementation of cost saving activities Ensuring compliance against internal processes and also striving to improve existing procurement procedures What you'll need to succeed- Demonstrable experience within a Purchasing function, experience in manufacturing, engineering or chemical industries beneficial Ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders A pro-active and focused approach to work Experience of using an MRP system CIPS qualified beneficial What you'll get in return £28,000 - £32,000 salary plus excellent benefits, flexible working and CIPS qualification development What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
