Overview
BUYER ABERDEEN 12 MONTHS £15 -£25 P/H Role Summary: As a buyer for our client, you will be responsible for executing and effectively managing all assigned sourcing activities. You will be required to work cross functionally, with a global supply base, to meet internal and external customer needs and to achieve desired business outcomes. Key Activities: Drive competitive bidding and supplier negotiations to achieve YOY savings target, negotiate on all OSPs Contribute to sourcing's project saving Review and analyse technical scope of work on PORs, identify suitable supplier based on capabilities Work with engineering and suppliers on resolution of GRRs buy reviewing and directing questions accordingly Work closely with QC team on quality and documentation related issues Review technical specification to ensure POs are placed on approved suppliers Work with SQE team to develop OSP suppliers in line with business needs Support ITO sourcing when required on sub-con related requests Embrace change, utilize, champion new &existing digital tools (i.e. Tableau, QWIK, etc.) Execute all PO placement & OOR management Drive Fulfilment for Repairs, Effectively manage open orders, collaborating with all key functions, stakeholders, and suppliers. Drive communication cross-functionally, with internal customers and suppliers to build relationships and to set clear expectations, as well as to mitigate risk. Drive supplier accountability evaluate supplier performance, and leverage supplier agreements, to ensure alignment with OFE and client commodity teams. Drive supplier COQ reduction. Qualifications / Requirements: Experience in sourcing preferred specifically focused on technical processes such as welding, machining, coating Understating of manufacturing process Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented Ability to understand engineering part requirements, read technical drawings and interpret scope of work Experience in subcon process Collaborative, results oriented, and a team player with a can-do attitude Capable of driving desired business outcomes Strong internal customer focus Good working knowledge of MS Office especially Excel, for reporting Desired characteristics: Working knowledge in Oracle & SAP ERP(s), iSupplier, ePIMS, MS Office, Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Tableau Adaptable, capable of working under tight time constraints, to meet new and changing priorities.
