Catch 22 are currently recruiting for an experienced and Multi- Skilled Electrical Engineer to join the team of a Global Facilities Management provider. Main duties and responsibilities are: To ensure the safe operation, profitable and efficient of all services provided to the school. To ensure service delivery is compliant with legislative requirements, company procedures and customer requirements.To deliver an electrical and mechanical integrated service to the contract. Effectively managing all operational teams through effective recruitment, training and performance management. The Role: · Ensure that all and Client Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered to, referring conflicts to the Client where necessary. · Ensure that risk assessments,safe systems of work and COSHH records are held centrally on the contract for all working practices · Monitor and evaluate service partners for compliance with Health and Safety legislation on site. · Undertake regular audits of all service areas and present written reports with recommendation to management. · Quality of Service Delivery · Overall responsibility for quality performance on the contract with respect to the Maintenance, service which will include but is not limited to: · Maintain and monitor agreed quality systems, ensuring preventative and remedial actions are taken where necessary as laid down in the contract specification. · By daily personal inspection, ensure that the scope of contract is being correctly delivered and that service standards are maintained and improved, taking remedial action where necessary. · Ensure that the work schedules are regularly reviewed to ensure best value for money and efficient delivery of services to our client requirements. · Monitor and report on financial performance & quality of service delivery. · Monitor customer feedback and respond to customer comments · Ability to comprehend and adhere to health and safety regulations and standards · Ability to anticipate problems and quickly find solutions to them · Ability to analyze situations and provide prompt solutions to challenges · single-handedly and efficiently perform electrical and mechanical installation jobs/tasks · Supervision of junior technicians and possesses a team spirit or apprentices · Ensure that equipment is in good working order so as to prevent disruption of activities · Installation of fresh electrical components and fittings · Recommend replacement for old or faulty electrical components or fittings to the management · Assist in forecasting requirements, creating a budget and scheduling expenses for the electrical department · Keep record of all stock and supplies, including company’s electrical equipment and components. · Working in collaboration with the site team to formulate the best cost-effective solution to all problems · Perform energy audits and recommend alternative sources of energy · Fix and maintain plant and equipment on site in line with SFG20 recommendations · Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services · Provide safe working environment for members of staff, and ensure electricity induced accidents and mishaps are prevented · Supervise electrical works when new projects are undertaken. · Ensure safety and safe systems of work are implemented and maintained at all times, during both maintenance or general operations · Undertake PPM’s as issued from the CAFM system and ensure they are closed out within the prescribed timescale · Undertake reactive maintenance activities within the prescribed timescale (as detailed by the CAFM work order) to ensure the rectification times are met, whether temporary or permanent rectification · Ensure that mechanical system assets and equipment are maintained in good, safe working order so as to prevent disruption of services · Whilst carrying out the PPM activities, provide updates to the CAFM team in relation to the condition for each asset in order to inform the forward maintenance budget but also assist any lifecycle decisions which need to be taken to specific assets across the sites The Candidate: · To have 2 – 5 years mechanical/electrical experience in education/Commercial environment (Essential) · 18th Edition electrical (Essential) · NEBOSH/IOSH Certificate would be desirable. · IOSH Managing Safety or working towards · Certification of Legionella Legislation / Responsible person (Desirable). · Membership, appropriate trade qualifications and recognition (Desirable).
