Overview
My client is looking to recruit a Facilities Maintenance Operative, to join their Facilities team within their manufacturing business based in Wiltshire. The main purpose of the role is the maintenance and upkeep of the building, and the installation of new machinery into production as and when required.The role will suit someone with good general trade skills, including plumbing and electrical and the main duties will be: Supporting the cleaning activities as required (e.g. power cleaning of floors etc.) Performing minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps in walls, painting etc. Maintaining the garden/perimeter and hedge trimming, removal of waste etc. Conducting maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and standard test (i.e. PAT testing) etc. Checking functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm, emergency lighting tests etc.) Collaborating with workers and other professionals during renovations Assisting in the installation of machinery, equipment and new production cells My client is willing to offer additional training where required within the role, but the successful candidate will need as a minimum the below: Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems The working pattern is days Monday to Friday and comes with a competitive salary and benefits including 25 days holiday, pension.
