Our client is looking for Facilities Maintenance Staff


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Report to work when scheduled: be there on time and within the required company dress code;


- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to maintain all areas of the restaurant inclusive of all offices;


- Perform weekly general cleaning of all fryers and other pieces of equipment inclusive of exhaust hoods;


- Clear and clean all tables in dining area in a prompt and efficient manner following company policies relating to good customer service;


- Daily and periodic scrubbing and mopping of all kitchens and dining area floors according to company policies and procedures;


- Maintains all public washroom facilities according to company policies and procedures;


- Practices good personal hygiene;


- Brings to the attention of the immediate superior all defective restaurant facilities inclusive of equipment that needs the attention of the maintenance department;


- Receives and stores all stocks in designated stock holding areas observing good stock handling procedures while using the F.I.F.O method;


- Immediately reports all food stuff in stock holding areas that are spoilt or spoiling to the manger on duty;


- Clearing, cleaning and sanitizing dining room tables as necessary;


- Conducts basic in store maintenance on all restaurant furniture and equipment as directed by the manager;


- Ensures that the company’s products (cooked and uncooked) are not removed from the compound without written authorization from the immediate superior;


- Maintains all windows, doors and glass areas in a clean and sanitized manner;


- Responsible for the emptying of all restaurant garbage in the area so designated by the company;


- Cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the restaurant and surrounding areas including: customer restrooms, employee restrooms, kitchens, dining areas, stockholding areas, car parks, drive through areas, garbage rooms, vents, lunch rooms, play areas, hoods and hood filters, offices, mops, mop buckets, brooms, scoops, grills, fryers, ovens, ceiling tiles, grease traps, etc.

Qualification


- Must be pleasant, polite, well-mannered, well-groomed, well spoken, with the ability to interact with the public;


- Must be physically fit and able to perform routine manual duties as described for a Porter;


- Ability to understand and follow verbal and simple instructions;


- Ability to stand, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time;


- Must maintain the interest of the company at all times;


- Ability to use various cleaning equipment and products.


- Must acquire a valid food badge within two (2) weeks of being employed;
