Overview

JOB SUMMARY: Our client is looking for an experienced IT Technician to join their team and offer day to day support to a large portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for remote access as well as occasional onsite support and will get involved with a variety of support related tasks including: Hardware, Software, WiFi Networks, Mobile / Landline support etc. Whilst our client is looking for someone with experience, hardware and software support experience is fundamental and training will be provided to ensure that the successful candidate can develop an understanding to support across all other areas of their service offering. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Take ownership of the technical support role, using your experience to introduce new services to clients and support their hardware and software needs, as they arise. Play an active part in a small team of professional IT Engineers, across a diverse range of technologies - carrying out support, maintenance, fault investigations and upgrades / hardware fixes, as required. Ensure that faults and support tickets are resolved effectively, ensuring that any changes and / or enhancements are implemented professionally, with minimal risk or service disruption. You will be expected to liaise with customers both over the phone and in person and therefore, confident, professional communication skills are essential. Play an active part in rolling out migrations and installations, both remotely and on site Dealing with both hardware and software related support queries through a ticketing system. Communicate the status of projects and job tickets on a daily basis, to ensure that all customers receive the best level of service at all times. Desktop / server / network trouble shooting Get involved in bespoke PC Builds, repairs etc. SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Attention to detail is vital for this role as is a hardworking, agile approach to work A professional, customer focussed attitude is essential - excellent communication skills (both over the phone, on email and in person) will need to be demonstrated at all times as our client prides themselves on their service to all customers. The ability to work alone as well as part of a team is essential - our client is expanding, but look for staff members who are comfortable working together and sharing the load. The ability to multi task and work efficiently, in a busy working environment is essential - this role requires an ability to 'wear many hats’ and whilst training is provided, the ideal candidate will be expected to use their initiative and take ownership of tasks, sometimes with little direction. LAN / WAN. Microsoft Office 365 experience (support and migrations) is essential as this is widely used. RMM Tools. Desktop / Server OS troubleshooting is essential Training will be provided, but the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a good level of experience of the above duties and required skills. In addition, any of the following experience / skills would be ideal, but not essential: WiFI Network builds, VPN, VOIP, AD, VMWare, Cloud Hosted services, Internet security, Google Cloud.
