Maintenance & Facilities Technician Job Location: Poole, Dorset Job Type: Permanent Salary: Excellent starting salary, depending on experience Hours: 39 hours per week - 7.30am - 4.00pm Are you a Maintenance Technician with Mechanical & Electrical skills who is looking to come away from working shifts? Are you looking for a Monday - Friday job? A manufacturing company who have been running for over 50 years are looking for a Maintenance & Facilities Technician on a Permanent, full time basis to maintain the upkeep of their bespoke machines, equipment and facilities. They currently employ approximately 40 staff from their site in Poole. Working alongside another engineer your role will see you involved in planned, reactive and preventative maintenance on all the companies bespoke machinery, equipment and undertaking small facilities upkeep. Duties will include: Ensuring the upkeep of machines Planned & reactive maintenance Updating and replacement of parts Ensuring scheduled services are carried out in a timely and professional manner Leaving machines in a safe and tidy condition Undertaking daily machine walk rounds, noting down any required maintenance Undertaking fault finding and light mechanical repairs of small mechanical equipment / tools Upkeep of the workshop floor to include general maintenance: Painting of walls / floors, repairs of workstations, marking out areas for Health & safety Upkeep of the offices to include, repairs to the office area, building new furniture and repair of old. Painting and small plumbing works (leaky taps, blocked drains) changing light bulbs, putting up new white boards, shelving, blinds, small cosmetic repairs General ground work, ensuring clean and clear car parks / and some general gardening work to the front of the premises (not much) The successful applicant must possess: Experience of working as a maintenance technician / engineer within a production / manufacturing environment is essential. A solid working knowledge of production machinery fault diagnosis, repair and servicing is a strong advantage.
