Gleeson Recruitment Group have been instructed by an excellent client of ours who are recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant based in Birmingham. This superb leisure and entertainment business have an exciting opportunity to join a high quality and vibrant finance function, as part of the management accounting team. Key Duties: Senior Management Accountant: Birmingham: £45,000 Processing and supporting the production of the management accounts for month end reporting encompassing all divisions Supporting the delivery of the change programme across all aspects of the management accounts. Providing recommendations, improving processes and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and automation Responsibility and delivery of complex reconciliations across multiple systems / processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial performance & position Supporting and assisting the Shared Service Accounting Manager on day to day basis, with the ability to step in to cover as required Support and promote appropriate controls around the balance sheet and any reporting to external and internal audit Support Finance Business Partners to understand key movements in their P&L on a monthly basis Providing both guidance and leadership to junior members of the team Qualifications & Experiences: Senior Management Accountant: Birmingham: £45,000 Qualified Accountant (ACA,CIMA,ACCA) Demonstrates a high level of comfort in using accounting systems and complex data sets Able to bring experience of working in a strong control environment Advanced proficiency in Excel with experience of applying analysis High level of attention to detail Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written skills (ability to communicate across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders) Excellent time management skills (ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines) Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills (ability to work independently, flexibly and responsively) Committed team player with a genuine can do attitude (hard working, uses initiative and great with colleagues) The Senior Management Accountant role will be responsible for preparing weekly reporting and monthly management accounts, which accurately report company performance and financial position whilst upholding the highest standard of financial control. The Senior Management Accountant will be a trusted adviser to business partners, and also be expected to provide support and supervision to the rest of the management accounting team.
