If you answer yes to either of these questions, then you’re going to get on so well with the people we support. We support 6 people (2 females and 4 males) with a learning disability who live within a registered service. We are looking to grow our team of dedicated, caring and enthusiastic support workers. As a support worker you will be supporting people in different ways. The type of support you will provide would be around administering medication, helping with personal care and offering support with cooking healthy meals. Being a support worker isn’t just about making day to day life it’s about having fun Fun with this group could be anything listening to music, baking, going to church or even going to the day centre. Creating memories with these individuals is one of the rewarding parts of being a support worker Have a look at the additional information attached created by the people we support. This will give you an idea of what the people we support want from you. As a support worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week, including mornings (ideal for you early risers), evenings and sleep-ins (Payment for sleep ins is competitive and compliant with National Living Wage requirements). The best thing about flexibility? It's a two-way street. While we may require that you work a variety of shifts, we also understand that you’ll have your own requirements – have you got commitments on a Thursday? Not to worry, we can factor this in, as well as other requests (provided you give us enough notice) into our rotas.
