Weekend Duty Manager

Creative Support Ltd ,
London, Greater London
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £12.8 per hour

Overview

We are seeking two or more capable, experienced and reliable part-time Duty Managers for our three Extra Care schemes in Bromley. You must be committed to providing high-quality, safe, person-centred care and support and to promoting the health and wellbeing of older people. You will be rostered to work at a particular scheme but will be expected to provide operational management support and advice across the three schemes. You will travel between the three services as required to cover staffing shortfalls, respond to urgent situations and resolve other operational problems which may arise. You will liaise closely with the On-call Manager to determine service priorities and to problem-solve as required. Your role will include providing direct care and support as needed. You will deploy and support our staff to ensure that a reliable, safe and person-centred service is delivered, that CQC care standards are met and that the highest level of customer service is provided. In order to carry out this responsible and rewarding role you will need to have had previous relevant experience, preferably gained in a supervisory or senior role involving the care or support of older people in an extra care, residential or domiciliary care service. The ability to provide respectful personal care is essential. You will need to be resourceful, resilient and good at solving problems and making decisions. You will be professional and accountable and have the ability to communicate effectively to service users, their families and other agencies. A commitment to excellent customer care is essential. Hours of work will be part-time, based on undertaking 9 hour shifts, generally 7am to 4.30pm with a half hour unpaid break, to be worked over weekends or bank holidays, or at any other mutually agreed time to meet the needs of the service. The shift pattern is to be agreed with the successful applicant but could be every weekend, two weekends in three or every other weekend, as preferred. You will require a relevant qualification in health or social care (such as NVQ or H&SC Diploma) and a good standard of written English and verbal communication. It will be helpful to be a car driver/owner but not essential as we have a taxi account to connect the three services. You will be a valued member of our Senior Management Team in Bromley and will have access to on-going training and opportunities for career development.
